HOMEMADE WREATH AND GARLAND MAKING
WITH
LYN MUTH, FILOLI CERTIFIED
ASSISTED BY
LORI LUNDBURG
Our Miss Lyn, making a beautiful garland for mantals. She is Filoli certified. Her and Lori had a great time with our workshopees.

Her example of making a wreath. All items gathered where from around her house.

Here is a picture of some of the items that she used to make the wreath with and center into the garland.

Miss Lyn answering questions from our workshop attendees. Even Dan Wheat Sr enjoyed the class.

Getting ready to do her thing. We love that everyone had such a good time. They keep coming back and bringing more friends with them to attend the FREE workshops.
She used an old wire hanger to make her wreath with and used garden twine to start her garland with along with 24 gauge wire in a roll from the hardware store. She had a good pair of gloves, along several pair of pliers. She also showed them how to take the battery operated single window candles and place them in the garlands. She answered questions about drying fruit to hang along with the berries in either the garland or wreaths.

Pickle Workshop

We have a thumbs up for the pickles. April made several patches so that everyone could taste the pickles. We opened one jar and passed it around. Everyone even got to take a jar of pickles home. Connie Stone got two. One was in the raffle.

Here is the great group who attended our Workshop. Some new faces, and some returning friends. Kris Cyrus and Jessica along with Rebecca our getting the ingredients ready to put our pickles in the pot.

Here is the Princess patiently waiting to hand our goodies for our raflles. Her name is Rebecca and is Aprils' daughter.

Here is our wonderful batch of Bread and Butter Pickles. We had a great turnout to our Bread and Butter Pickling making workshop. We had lots of laughs and lots of conversation about the old times. We learned a little pickle history and raffled off some goodies.
Hope to see you at the next one. Cool Season gardening with Lyn Muth on Wednesday, August 5th, at the A to Z Garden Center at 6 p.m.

Here is the patch of pickles for tomorrows workshop. Hopefully they have enough flavor in them to let everyone know what they are making or learning how to make. I will post some more pictures from the workshop tomorrow night.

Upcoming workshops

Well this week is the Pickles workshop. I have made two batches of pickles and will be making more in the coming days. We have a assignment for the nursery to rediscover what is missing. So in the next couple of weeks you will see a great turn around in the Garden center.

Also, next week in the nursery, we will be having a workshop on Winter Gardening.......

Grass Valley, CA, United States
My name is April. I run the nursery at A to Z Supply. I am Dans' oldest child. I love to garden when I have the time. I picked up on the gardening bug from my dad and Grandfather. I also love to do all kinds of crafts, cook and just hang out. I read when I get the chance. I am an advocate for Type 1 Diabetes. Just locally! I support CSA, and other local farms as much as I can. Stop by and see me at the nursery. I am there almost every day.
