This is our 1st Place winner for Jams and Jellies. Marian Fitzgerald made a Lemon butter that was the Bomb. She also one a Third place for her Blueberry Jelly.

This is Lyn again, and Maria Unger, she won 2nd place for her awesome, Fresh Salsa. Let's just say it did not last long around A to Z Supply. The boys ate it right up.

UPCOMING WORKSHOPS

Well, Fall is just right around the corner and we are getting ready to do some appropriate workshops for the season.

We are going to start charging a $5.00 registration fee that you will get back in A to Z Supply dollars to spend at you leisure.

Thursday, October 7th at 6 p.m. We will be making Juices, sauces and syrups from scratch. We will also show you how to process them and put them on your shelf for winter use. Give you some great recipes to go along with what we have taste testers.

Sunday, October 10th at 4 p.m. Garden Chat with Lyn. She will be going over Cool Weather Veggies, Cover Crops and putting your garden to bed for winter.

Thursday, October 14th at 6 p.m. We will be making great treats from pumpkins. We will share recipes, go over preserving and the many ways to can cook a Jack O' Lantern pumpkin to make goodies with.

Thursday, October 21st at 6 p.m. Will be our last Brandy making workshop for this year. We will racking to brandies and making one more batch before the holidays. So come and join Dan Sr. for some fun.

Thursday, October 28th at 6 p.m.
Table settings and Hostess gifts.

What can we use in our kitchens, craft stash, plates, napkins that will give our holidays a fresh new look for any guests that might arrive this winter. Hostess gifts, goodies from the pantry, Dollar store finds and handmade gifts will be the answer for that. So join us for some fun.

Upcoming Canning Workshops

On Thursday, August 19th, at 6 p.m., we will be going over Freezing and Dehydrating. What we should and should not do.

Sunday, August 22nd, at 2 p.m., we will be going over safe Pressure canning.

Thursday, August 26th, Dan Sr will be doing his series of Brandy Workshops at 6 p.m.

April has begun Master Food Preserver courses with UC Davis and will become a Certified Master Food Preserver in May.

We will take all of her knowledge and put it to good use here at the Garden Center as we pick from our gardens and start preserving our food.

The first workshop on Food Preserving will be what you really need to get started, what you have already in your kitchen and what you might need to replace.......

The next workshop on the calendar is for May 19th at 6 p.m. in the Garden Center. We will be making Strawberry Jam and this will be a hands on demonstration. Always call to reserve your spot .....

Bring a jar, apron, and gloves. See ya then.
